The principal business of SANYO Component Europe is sales and marketing in Europe of the products of the four divisions represented. This includes technical support up to customer specific design and co-operation with SANYO Hungary, the production company for batteries and solar panels in Europe.
PV activities
The SANYO HIT (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layer) solar cell is composed of a single thin crystalline silicon wafer surrounded by ultra-thin amorphous silicon layers. The HIT cell and module have the world's highest level of conversion efficiency in mass production and can maintain higher efficiency than a conventional crystalline silicon solar cell even at high temperatures. In 2003, they were introduced successfully to the European Market.
