Blue Chip Energy GmbH
Founded in Spring 2006, the Austrian company Blue Chip Energy GmbH and its staff of 140 (December 2008) highly qualified employees are launching production of monocrystalline high-efficiency cells (Blue Chips) in June 2008. The annual capacity has been projected as 100 MWp. The construction of the Blue Chip Energy plant - the country's first photovoltaic cell manufacturing facility - marks the start of a new era of renewable energy in Austria.
