Over the past 25 years, ITPower has completed almost 1,000 renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in over 100 countries throughout the world.

ITPower was a pioneer in bringing PV to developing countries, and also led the way for PV in the UK, including being a partner in Britain's first significant PV project. Expertise covers all aspects of renewable energy technology and application, including hydro, wind, wave and tidal power, biomass, as well as financing and due dilligence, project management, and the newly emerging carbon business. ITPower has offices throughout the world, with rapid growth in China and India. Success has been recognised through the Queen's Award for Export Achievement and other prestigious prizes.

PV activities
ITPower's first project 25 years ago was the ground-breaking Global Solar Pumping Programme. Current activities include: - Projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America on rural electrification using PV (and other appropriate technologies, such as windand hydro) - Due Diligence for investors and banks in the rapidly expanding PV manufacturing industry, particularly China - Extensive work on standards and quality, training, and technology transfer - IT Power's subsidiary SEI has installed 450kWp of PV in the UK and continues to expand

Principal Business
IT Power's core business is expert consulting for institutional and private clients, for example the World Bank, UNDP, WHO, development banks, governments and most of the world's PV companies. Other ventures have been incubated and spun-off as subsidiaries or associates, eg: - Sustainable Energy Installations Ltd. (SEI), leading PV, wind and hydro integrator and installer - Marine Current Turbines Ltd., the world's leader in tidal stream energy - Three other wave and tidal technologies at the R&D stage, with commercial partners - Carbon Resource Management Ltd., developing CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) projects and trading carbon (Certified Emission Reductions, CERs)
