Solsonica S.p.A., formerly EEMSolar since March 2007, has been established on August 2007 with the objective to become the leading company in the production of solar cells and modules on large scale, modules sales as well as a provider of full turn-key PV solutions to mid-large customers. Solsonica belongs to EEMS Group, a multinational company with more than 1500 employees worldwide, operating in the semiconductor business and listed on the Italian Stock Exchange (STAR segment).PV activities
Thanks to the financing strength of EEMS Group, Solsonica has already secured the supply of production state-of-the-art equipment and processes. Adequate coverage of silicon wafers by long-term contracts with world-leading suppliers have also been secured. While on one side Solsonica is substantially a new comer among the several in the PV industry, on the other it can count on a large industrial competence built on over 30 years of activity operating in a variety of global, technological and very competitive semiconductor activities. Those strengths are instrumental to successfully develop a credible and solid Italian industrial player. Solsonica610, the first product family available, is a multi-crystalline module ranging from 200 to 240 Wp manufactured in its Italian facility. Solsonica also provides "turn-key" PV systems, leveraging on its internal capabilities as well as a network of partners. From the early contact up to the final connection to the electricity grid and beyond, Solsonica supports customers with local presence, competence and state of the art products.
