MT Højgaard a/s

MT Højgaard constructs plants for cleaning of fresh water and for waste water treatment, either as an EPC contractor or as a civil works contractor.
When working as an EPC contractor they either use in-house specialists or they cooperate with companies specialising in the water treatment process.
They also install all types of piping systems for fresh water and waste water, either as pressurised pipes or as gravity flow pipes.
MT Højgaard has a large portfolio of water supply and sewage references which support their competences.
MT Højgaard has a long tradition for construction of Hydro Power Plants in the North Atlantic Region - Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland.
As a matter of fact they have constructed all the existing hydro power plants in the Faroe Islands, where hydro power covers 40% of the consumption of energy.
Recently a Joint Venture with MT Højgaard as Joint Venture Partner has been awarded the contract for a 216 MW hydro power plant in Panama.
Typically MT Højgaard is responsible for the civil works or part of the civil works (dams, tunnels and concrete structures) for the projects, whereas they always have a partner doing the mechanical and electrical works.
