The Association of Entrepreneurs in Waste Management (APOH)

The Association of Entrepreneurs in Waste Management (APOH) was established in 1998, becoming the first of its kind in the Slovak Republic. APOH is covering those entrepreneurs (legal and private entities) on a voluntary base.

APOH members today cover the majority of tasks carried out within all of Slovakia. Collection of waste, its transportation and disposal, recycling, incineration, ecological landfilling.

The main condition for membership is doing business completely in accordance with legislation of the Slovak Republic. Some other abilities are to settle down all the payments toward the state in time, including references, etc. Their members voluntarily signed "The Ethic convention"" that they will respect all ethic rules and principles of sustainable development. Members of the APOH are recognized by The State Administration and the general public as well as companies respect ecological and correct business standards.

APOH has been a member of The European Federation of Waste Management and Environmental Services (FEAD) since 1999.

APOH actively co-operate with The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic as a consultant in preparing standards and legislation, where they use their practical experiences and up-to-date knowledge.
