Emergya Wind Technologies BV (EWT) is a new Dutch wind turbine supplier specialised in the development and manufacture of advanced high-quality direct drive (gearless) wind turbines. EWT starting point was the Intellectual Property Rights acquisition including all strategic know-how of former wind pioneer Lagerwey the WindMaster. These key assets together formed a strong basis on which EWT commenced commercial operations in February 2004. EWT is determined to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of high performance direct drive wind turbines. EWT’s mission is to provide its high quality wind energy solutions with the lowest cost of ownership during a twenty-year operational lifetime, generating electricity at competitive prices. Through its focus on a combination of sustainability and cost efficiency, EWT aims to become a major international player in the sub Megawatt segment, serving developers of smaller wind farms, utility companies, farmers and ranchers, and municipal and State/Provincial governments worldwide. EWT’s growth strategy consists of a combination of organic growth, international expansion through strategic partnerships and acquisitions and market driven evolutionary product development, such as the new 2MW turbine.
