In the 1960's the unique Densit® ultra high strength cement based materials were developed and patent applications for the Densit® technology were filed in all major industrial countries in the world. Development of new products and product solutions has always been a key activity in Densit ApS. The focus on innovation and development has lead to numerous global patents and pending patents for products and concepts, all based on further development of the Densit® technology.

One of these innovations is Ducorit®, a pumpable, ultra-high performance grout specially developed for offshore use by Densit. The core of the Ducorit® products is the unique Densit® Binder. The different properties of Ducorit® S1, Ducorit® S5 and Ducorit® D4 are obtained by adding aggregates such as quartz sand or bauxite.

Since the 2000 Densit ApS has grouted transition pieces to driven monopiles in 13 offshore wind farms. In order to establish an efficient, strong and fatigue-resistant connection between the monopile and turbine tower, a Ducorit® grouted connection between the monopile and transition piece can be used. The Ducorit® grouted connection has proved to be an efficient and competitive foundation concept for offshore wind turbines due to the extreme properties of the grout. It is carried out by filling the annulus between the transition piece and the pile with pumpable Ducorit® - a cement-based special grout that sets in less than 24 hours.

Densit ApS handles all phases of offshore foundation projects - from engineering and planning, supply of grouting material and installation, to test sampling and documentation. The foundation solution for offshore wind turbines is based on 25 years of technological development and experience in the strengthening of offshore structures in the oil & gas industry.
