Barlovento Recursos Naturales, founded in 1998, provides consultancy and other services in the field of renewable energy and is primarily focused in the wind energy sector. The company has acted as an independent technical assessor for wind power projects with a cumulative capacity of 4000 MW, which are currently either on-line or in the construction phase, in addition to many more that are in the project phase.

Since Barlovento received accreditation as a Testing Laboratory in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, for the carrying out of wind turbine generator Power Curve Tests, its geographic focus has internationalized hand in hand with the expansion of the international reach of Spanish companies operating in the global wind industry.

In addition, Barlovento has become a member of MEASNET, an international organisation which counts numerous prestigious wind research centres among its members, after having exceeded all the technical requirements that the organisation requires for membership. Barlovento’s membership of MEASNET guarantees that its tests meet the highest quality in the industry and that the methods used and results obtained by Barlovento are accepted at international level.
