While people all over the world are wondering how future energy resources can keep up with dramatically increasing energy consumption and the resulting explosion in CO2 emissions, we have based our strategy on trying our effort to make wind energy the preferred supplement to conventional energy sources. SQ Wind commits to become one of the major suppliers for wind power solutions in this process.Currently, SQ Wind develops and manufactures 1~3MW blades for wind turbines.
Blades play a crucial role in wind turbines – their design is crucial to the efficient exploitation of energy from the wind. Established in 2000 for agricultural equipment initially, SQ Wind started its Research & Development for blades since 2006. With the extensive collaborations of experts from German Wind Industry and Harbin Glass Fiber Institute, SQ Wind finished its design of 1500 kW blade in May 2007.
In Aug 2008, SQ Wind delivered its 1st piece of 1500kW blade. We expected to have annual production capacity of 2500-3000 blades in year end 2009. Locating in Harbin, northeast of China, we have the unique advantage to supply to wind farms in Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang with the shortest distance.
SQ Wind also holds some wind farms developing priority in northeast of China, with capacity of 600MW, of which the wind testing had been finished.
