5th AsiaSolar PV Exhibition (Shanghai, China)

From 2010-03-30 to 2010-04-01

The Fifth AsiaSolar PV Exhibition 2010 is organised by China New Energy Chamber of Commerce (CNECC). CNECC was established under the guidance of Huang Mengfu, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Committee (CPPCC) and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce, and enjoys the support of the National Development and Reform Commission, National People’s Congress, and CPPCC National Committee. CNECC is a leading organisation in the Chinese new energy industry.

As a representative of private enterprises, CNECC is the only Chamber of Commerce in the new energy industry which is able to actively participate in government and political affairs. CNECC enjoys close connections with the National People’s Congress, CNPCC, National Development and Reform Committee, National Energy Administration, State Tax Administration, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Agriculture. The Chamber establishes communication channels between enterprises and government units, passing on the ideas and opinions of its members to the related state departments. Every year, CNECC collects information about the present state of industry development and new energy enterprises, and fights for increased policy support by presenting proposals to China’s two most important political conferences (the National People’s Congress and CNPCC). Therefore, CNECC’s influence by far exceeds any other local organisation.

China New Energy Chamber of Commerce is engaged in practical work for the good of new energy enterprises. In the area of solar PV the Chamber has promoted the establishment of related policies like the “Solar Roofs Program” and “Golden Sun Program”, and is focused on the healthy development of the industry. At present the CNECC executive committee includes solar industry leaders like Suntech, Canadian Solar, Trina Solar, Astronergy, Oerlikon, Tianwei and ENN. Thanks to strong and continuous growth in membership, CNECC now has over 400 members in total. The Chamber regularly organises and hosts all sorts of activities and salon events.

CNECC has established connections with various well-known international new energy exhibitions, and organises Chinese pavilions at overseas events, offering its members a better chance to publicise themselves and their products. CNECC has built up strong overseas networks, and each year organises events in which enterprises can visit and explore the overseas solar PV market, helping them to better understand solar policy and market demand and to analyse the overseas situation. CNECC promotes collaboration between Chinese and overseas enterprises through its close connections with overseas associations, chambers of commerce and government departments, bringing significant benefits to its member enterprises.

As one of CNECC’s most important activities, AsiaSolar welcomes more and more exhibitors every year. We expect that 800 enterprises from home and aboard will exhibit in 2010, and that exhibitors and buying groups from overseas will make up 30% of our guests. As the first exhibition in the industry calendar each year, AsiaSolar commands a high degree of attention. AsiaSolar 2010 will take place in March, avoiding any conflict and difficulties due to the 2010 World Expo, which opens in May. This advantage will help us to provide the very finest platform for our exhibitors.
