What are the unique offer and competitive advantages that make your company an international player in the global wind power industry?

FairWind is a leader in installation and start-up of wind turbines. We have achieved this leadership through the excellence of our education system and an exceptional project management. The results are: Earlier time-to-market and less loss of business due to unforeseen maintenance after start-up for our clients.

What are your R&D priorities to strengthen your technology leadership in the globalizing wind power market as cost-competitive alternatives from countries such as China are destined to enter the international marketplace over the coming decade?

We are constantly improving our educational, management and organisational systems and structures with the goal of making our areas of business even more cost-effective. Both in terms of direct costs – mainly time – to our clients and the savings achieved through the quality of our work.

What are the main trends in the global wind industry in terms of new technology development, turbine size, grid connectivity and cost competitiveness that your aim to capitalize on in the coming years?

Our educational institution is constantly in cooperation with major manufacturers to ensure that our curriculum includes the latest technology within the industry. This ensures that our manpower and systems are always up-to-date and that we can incorporate upcoming changes and prepare for them – before we need to implement them on-site.

China will this year become both the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer and the largest market for new installations. Which role does China play in your future growth ambitions and which challenges do you foresee in the expanding your presence in the world’s fasted growing wind power market?

We observe the Chinese market with great interest and plan to enter the market during 2010. We believe that our values and competences can be extremely beneficial to the worlds largest market for wind turbines. We see the worldwide trend going in the direction of quality both of product and services.

What is your personal message to the CEOs of Chinese companies in wind energy looking to develop their technology and their business both domestically and internationally, while acknowledging Europe’s current leadership in wind technology?

In continuation of the above point, we see that the focus of the industry will and should be the real cost of the power produced over the lifetime of a wind turbine. Safety and the environmental impact of the entire industry and all elements thereof will become even more important.
