CEOs from leading companies around the globe will be attending The World Business Summit on Climate Change, 24-26 May, in Copenhagen. The summit will discuss how companies can help combat climate change through innovative business models and low-carbon technologies, and present their recommendations to the Danish government and world leaders who will be negotiating the terms of a successor to the Kyoto protocol at COP15 in Copenhagen in December.

With some 700 leading company executives including PepsiCo's CEO Indra Nooyi and Unilever's CEO Paul Polman attending the event along with UN Secretary Ban Ki-moon, former US Vice President Al Gore, and The Queen of Denmark, the World Business Summit on Climate Change is set to be the corporate sector's biggest and most significant international gathering on climate change to date.

Over three days, the summit will debate the issues on the road to COP15. Innovative business cases will be presented by world-leading companies, and lessons learned will be translated into designs for effective policy instruments and promising business opportunities. The final document from the summit, The Copenhagen Call, will be handed to Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and UN Executive Secretary Yvo de Boer.

Over 100 international media organisations including CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, Financial Times and BusinessWeek are expected to cover the event.
