Order for grouting of legs and pile annuli for installation of two jackets in Gulf of Thailand, Densit

Installation contractor TL Offshore Sdn Bhd has awarded Densit Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd and PetroUsaha Engineering Services Sdn Bhd the contract for grouting of legs and pile annuli for installation of two new jacket platforms in the Gulf of Thailand.
The two new platforms are part of Central Complex in the JDA Block B-17 Field development located in the Malaysian-Thailand Joint Development area (MTJDA), located approximately 270 km East of Songkhla, Thailand and 170 km North of Kota Bharu, Malaysia in an area with water depths of approximately 60 m. The field is to be operated by CPOC, which is a joint-venture company between Petronas Carigali (JDA) Sdn Bhd and PTTEP International of Thailand, formed to explore off-shore petroleum in the east-coast of the Malaysia-Thailand border.
The Densit grouting services comprise planning, supply of ultra high strength Ducorit® grout, grouting, test sampling and documentation. The grouting works will commerce late June 2009 for grouting an eight legged process and production platform and a four legged riser platform, where the full annulus between each leg and pile are to be grouted for transfer of loads to the foundation. The works further involve free-span correction of a 12 km long interfield pipeline.
The Central Complex is scheduled to start production during last quarter of 2009.
