Financial crisis and struggling order books have not made Danish companies and municipalities assign a lower priority to their climate activities
Financial crisis and struggling order books have not made Danish companies and municipalities assign a
lower priority to their climate activities. On the contrary. Seven out of ten companies reckon they will increase their climate and environmental activities over the next year. So shows a survey from PR and communication agency Mannov. The news is reported in a press release from the firm.
Of the companies and municipalities surveyed, 94% say they want to position themselves as climate and environmentally friendly players, and the majority of them have also allocated financial resources for the purpose. Seven out of ten companies and municipalities expect to use more resources to communicate on climate and environment in the next year.
Director and partner in Mannov, Ebbe Kristensen says that many companies can see that a positive climate profile benefits the bottom line.
"The business community does not engage in the climate debate because of pure idealism. They do it because they can see there is good business in it. In our survey, more than six out of ten companies indicate their climate commitment has a positive spill-over effect on their bottom line. In addition several companies say that a clear climate profile enables them to recruit the best staff."
