UN chief heads to China and Mongolia, COP 15

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is scheduled to leave New York today to discuss climate change with Chinese and Mongolian officials.
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is heading to China and Mongolia to put a spotlight on climate change, the UN announced Monday.
The UN chief is scheduled to leave New York Wednesday and meet Friday with President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and other Chinese officials in Beijing, UN deputy spokeswoman Marie Okabe said. Other global issues will also be on the agenda.
