Ramboll focuses on a strong international position within the energy area, Ramboll
Release Date: 2010-01-11
The worldwide focus on climate change and security of energy supply will in the coming years lead to a significant increase in investments in areas such as renewable energy solutions and energy efficiency. In a response to this, Ramboll is now launching a new Global Practice for Energy
"Based on our present strongholds within waste-to-energy, wind, district heating and biomass/biogas, we believe that we should strive towards becoming the leading European consultancy company within renewable energy resources. The establishment of the new Global Practice is an important step in this direction," says Chief Market Officer Søren Holm Johansen, and continues: "By gathering our activities within the energy area in one global operational business unit, we are able to deliver efficient and focused solutions because our experts are working closely together in one dynamic unit."
The new business unit unites employees from Ramboll in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and UK and builds on the vast expertise already present in Ramboll. This is within areas such as wind energy and waste-to-energy where Ramboll is already a leading consultant. Ramboll is for example a consultant to one of Europe’s largest waste-to-energy plants to be constructed in Copenhagen for I/S Amagerforbrænding and is also a consultant to one of the world’s largest offshore wind farm projects, Burbo Bank, in Liverpool Bay off the UK's west coast.
