AES wind business expands in Europe

AES said it bought British wind-power developer Your Energy and agreed to purchase a 51 percent stake in Poland's 3E to capitalize on rising demand for renewable energy and to grow its European wind-farm business.Arlington-based AES said the transactions add more than 700 megawatts of wind-power capacity to its European projects. Terms were not disclosed.
