Ramboll to design the future home of science, Ramboll

Ramboll has won an international project competition for the design of the buildings for the brand new Niels Bohr Science Park at the University of Copenhagen. The science park will house the Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen, which features the internationally recognised Niels Bohr Institute.The Danish University and Property Agency and the University of Copenhagen have held an international project competition between five renowned and prequalified advisory teams. Ramboll's team won the competition and will now be responsible for the 45,000 square metre state-of-the-art project of the highest international university standards.
“It's fantastic to be part of a world class project like Niels Bohr Science Park. We are looking forward to the close cooperation with the owner and leaseholder,” says teamleader Bjarke Curtz Jansen, who accentuates the exemplary collaboration within the team.
The construction of the Niels Bohr Science Park will start in 2013 and the project is expected to be completed in two stages in 2014 and 2015.
Ramboll in Denmark won the competition in collaboration with the following sub-consultants: Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Christensen & Co Architects, GHB Landscape Architects, Ramboll in Sweden, Ramboll in UK, and Collin Gordon and Associates, USA.
