Ramboll defies tough market conditions with strengthened revenue and profit, Ramboll

Ramboll delivers a steady profit before tax of DKK 145 million for the first half-year of 2010. This result was generated on the basis of an increased gross revenue and EBITA margin. The order book has increased to DKK 2.7 billion and many new landmark projects have been won. Thus, Ramboll is in a strong position despite prevailing market conditions.The first half-year (H1) has been satisfactory for the leading engineering, design and consultancy company in Northern Europe. During the first two quarters of the year, Ramboll's gross revenue grew by seven per cent to DKK 3,030 million (DKK 2,830 million in H1 2009). In a very competitive market, Ramboll has been successful in winning many new contracts. At the end of June our order book had a value of DKK 2.7 billion, an increase of more than ten per cent compared to the end of 2009.
During the second half-year, the company will continue to focus on extending its leading position especially within infrastructure, oil/gas, energy and climate as well as telecommunications. The geographic focus will be further consolidation of the home markets in the Nordic countries, UK, India and the Middle East and exploring opportunities in new, attractive markets.
Ramboll employs close to 9,000 employees in 20 countries. With strong expertise networks and significant projects, the group has a strong base for pursuing its strategy for growth.

In Denmark 1,600 of Ramboll's 9,000 employees have this month moved in to a new head office in Ørestad, near Copenhagen. Gathering our employees in new, innovative surroundings will ensure the flexibility and cooperation required for a modern knowledge-based company. Ramboll has also recently occupied a new head office in Stockholm and new head offices are under construction in Helsinki and Oslo.
