Ministers visit REpower’s production facility in Husum, REpower Systems

In the course of a press meeting on 11 February, Mr. Peter Harry Carstensen, prime minister of the German Federal Land of Schleswig-Holstein, and Dr. Werner Marnette, minister of science, economy and transport of the Federal Land, were visiting the REpower site at Husum.

Together with Mr. Ralf Bischof, managing director of the German WindEnergy Association (BWE), and Dr. Klaus Rave, board member of the Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein, they caught up on construction methods and efficiency of REpower turbines in the manufacturing hall.

Together with REpower’s CEO, Mr. Per Hornung Pedersen and more than 30 journalists from broadcasting stations like ARD and RTL, from the Kieler Nachrichten or the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung the guests had discussions on wind energy as a job creator and the future trend of wind industry in Germanys northernmost Federal Land, according to the event theme “Wind Energy – an Economic Factor in Schleswig-Holstein”.
