Hohhot PV Project to Receive RMB 2.5Billion

Hohhot Zhonghuan PV Material broke ground on the first of four phases of a monocrystalline ingot and wafer production base with total investment of RMB 2.5 billion in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia on March 26, reports Inner Mongolia Morning News. When complete, the base will have an annual ingot and wafer capacity of between 800MW and 1GW, said the report.
The company is a joint venture between Shanghai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical (600151.SH) and Tianjin Huanou Semiconductor Material Technology. Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical invested RMB 40 million for a 20% stake in the joint venture, while Huanou paid RMB 160 million for an 80% stake.
