Fortum President and CEO Mikael Lilius to retire in December, Fortum

Fortum’s President and CEO Mikael Lilius has today informed that he will retire in the end of this year. Lilius has led various stock listed companies for the past 18 years, and the last nine years he has been the President and CEO of Fortum Corporation.

”I have considered retiring for a while, and the recent events surrounding Fortum have made me announce my decision today,” says Lilius.

In his letter to Fortum Board of Directors, Mikael Lilius says he will use the right written in his job agreement to retire at the age of 60. Until his retirement, he will continue to work normally according to the directions and desires from the Board of Directors.
