Risø DTU in new international consortium on the development of tomorrow's digital energy infrastructure (CoDE), Risoe

Release Date: 2009-04-03

With the ambition to increase the proportion of wind power from today’s 20% to 50% in 2020 - 2025, Denmark is one of the most challenged countries in the integration of wind energy in the entire energy system.

Over the next year Risø DTU, as a part of CoDE (Consortium on Digital Energy), will help to identify different development scenarios for the future digital infrastructure. The consortium is also to identify future business models and potential bottlenecks of political and technological nature and in relation to the supply chain; as well as determine the opportunities for third-party investment.

The work will include two senior management workshops, and the results will be presented at the 3rd New Energy Finance Summit in March 2010.
